Goldsmiths Students’ Union – Research & Insight, Concept Strategy

All of Goldsmiths’ commercial services were in decline and the Trustee Board wanted some robust recommendations that would enable the Students’ Union to reverse the decline and appeal to a broader spectrum of the student community.

Brief

  • Full qualitative and quantitative research across the whole student community, in particular mature students and non-users who were not engaged with the Students’ Union
  • Write a comprehensive report to present to the Trustee Board
  • Make recommendations on how all commercial services could be improved for the benefit of all

Results

 Nina’s flexible and professional approach at short notice was exactly what we needed. The plan Nina devised to suit our brief was excellent and the resulting research, report, presentation and recommendations were of the highest quality. What was particularly apparent was that Nina did not simply focus on ‘bricks and mortar’ but more on the culture and values of students, staff and customers at Goldsmiths. This, coupled with her in-depth knowledge of the student and non-student market was a distinct advantage.
