Kent University & Kent Union – Commercial Services Review and Capital Development Project
Brief
From concept to creation. Provide full support throughout this £2.9m capital project from understanding what the students want from their new Student Hub through to delivering an amazing building which included a large cafe bar, shop, social spaces, dance studios, letting agency and activity centres, quiet study spaces and extensive external areas.

- Assist Procurement team with tendering the catering equipment

Results
“Nina and Co worked closely with Kent Union, the University of Kent and the design team to bring together all the concepts and ideas and collate these into a single brand identity for the building.
Nina was able to bring a vast knowledge of experience and expertise to the design table and this resulted in a building that exceeded all expectations and has become a place that students, staff and visitors are drawn to across the campus.
Nina also worked closely with the team developing a detailed brief and performance specification for all of the equipment in the bar, kitchen and shop and this was extremely challenging, as the budget was very tight. I would not hesitate to recommending Nina and Co and any future projects at the University of Kent.”
